The art of Osteopathy is a form of hands on, evidence based treatment, which recognises the structure of the body and the way in which it functions.
You and your family should feel assured you have come to the right place, we are government registered practitioners who have trained at university for 5 years.
As a new client of Moreland Osteopathy, we have a 4 step regime which provides you with the best knowledge to recover from your injuries and hence fantastic clinical outcomes. Here is our 4 step model to success!
Your initial consultation will be of a massive 60 minutes. We take a detailed medical History to ensure we have not missed anything sinister and to get an overview of your general health and previous injuries that may impact your clinical outcomes of your most recent complaint.
Following on from the History taking process, we need to better understand your complaint. We use relevant testing such as body motion testing, Orthopedic examinations, reflex testing, and various other testing that we deem to be relevant for you. As a result of your examination, we will explain our findings to you so that you understand what is happening to your body.
Osteopathy is a manual art, and here at Moreland Osteopathy we pride ourselves in our ability to do it very well. We will establish a treatment plan which consists of various evidence based techniques such as massage, stretching, articulation, trigger point release and manipulation of joints, muscles, tendons and bones!
At Moreland Osteopathy we also offer Cupping and Dry Needling services which can be used in conjunction with Osteopathy – Please ask about these options if you feel you may be interested in them!
Following on from your examination and treatment we will load you up information to look after yourself including advice on your condition, any relevant exercises and rehabilitation that may assist your recovery and advice on how many sessions you will need for a speedy recovery.
Our main focus is to continue with our hands on manual therapy for best results. During the session we can review any exercises or concerns that you may have with your injury. We offer a standard 30 min session as a return consultation, however if you feel you have a few issues to address you can have a longer consultation of 45 minutes or even 60 minutes.
